It bums me out so hard when I'm excited to apply to work on a project (usually for free), and to see the lead already using generative AI in it. I've worked for free on a lot of indie work, but the moment I feel that you don't value the job artists do, its unbelievably unappealing to work with you. It is so easy to find royalty free images online and to promote the work of real people that there is never any need to use AI, even as placeholders. It really just puts a rotten taste in my mouth about everything going on. I want to work with human beings, that's it.
